Least - TPM Fav - ROTS (for best action, acting, etc., even though its so freaking sad) but a close second is AOTC cause you first meet Anakin (Hayden) and they fall in love......

Favorite- ROTS, ROTJ, Revenge is sad, but Return makes me so happy to see Anakin is at last restored to the light by the love of his children.
Least: Hard one here, probably TMP. I do really like it, but like the others more.

Boy, this is a hard question. I love ROTS because of the hot anakin (!) and the overall sadness of the story, but ANH will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first I saw back in '77. Least favorite? That's hard to say. Back before the PT, I liked ROTJ the least (couldn't stand the cute Ewoks!), but now I really like it because Anakin is redeemed in it and I know so much more about him now. I don't have a least favorite. I like TPM because it introduces characters we all know and love (or hate), and it has Liam Neeson!

I used to say my least favorite was TPM, but I actually ff through more of ANH. I'm just not such a huge fx fan that I'm willing to sit through an hour of nothing but fx. It was really special in 1977 because they were so new, but now they're not new anymore and having all the action take place in outer space so you can see mulitple explosions and wow over the exterior of a model spaceship just doesn't do anything for me. In addition, with the way Lucas had the entire story go, the "feel" of that movie doesn't fit with the others anymore. He did ANH in the style of a 30s sf serial and it fit, as a stand-alone movie. But the whole series is much too serious for a 30s sf serial. The five remaining movies go with the serious form more (though he unfortunately couldn't completely let go of the serial style, to the detriment of the actors playing the roles, who could have done an even better job than then did if not restrained by that requirement). ANH sticks out like a sore thumb. IMO, at least. But none of this means I don't watch it anymore; I do - up until they escape from the Death Star.
Based on the amount of footage I fast-forward through when I watch, my favorite is ESB. All I fast-forward through is the battle on Hoth. I'm afraid that in ROTJ, I fast-forward through all of the Ewok scenes, and there are a lot of them. Also, I used to love it in the theater, but now I ff through the bike chase too. Actually, ROTS may be my favorite if I use this measuring system - if I could stand to watch it at all these days, I wouldn't skip a thing. It flows the best of all, with very little drag anywhere.

I always fast forward through the bike chase in ROTJ. It was boring even in the theatre. At the time it was state of the art, but I still thought it was dull. Even though the Ewoks do annoy me, I watch their scenes because the Han, Leia and Luke stuff that happens there is so good.
I think the purpose of the Ewoks was to entertain the kids. When I went to see ROTJ when it was new with my little nephews, they started to whine during the 'heavy' parts of the movie and ask to go to the arcade, or to the bathroom when all they wanted to do was play with the soap! But when those Ewoks came on they held their full attention and they laughed and their eyes lit up. They loved the Ewok song, I had a single of it and they'd dance to it over and over. They're still lame, though, and kind of make the battle silly with all the logs and rocks. It's sad that the Ewoks have tainted the movie over time by turning so many people off, because it was overall a good story.
The thing I dislike most about TPM is that it is SO boring, and doesn't make a lot of sense. Qui Gon is cool, I didn't care much for the Obi or Anakin characters, or the podrace storyline. Oh and the Gungans were torture.

My favorite is ROTS for many reasons (here's a few): 1.) Anakin FINALLY got rid of the padawan braid. I love his hair in ROTS. 2.) We finally see how Anakin became the man in the mask. 3.) It's so tragic and angsty, and yet I can't stop enjoying it. But there is one major thing that bothers me about it: Padme dying.... I would go into details, but on second thought- don't even get me started. I don't much like the portrayal of her death. She's so actiony awesome in AOTC and then in ROTS she seems so fragile and weak. She's strong and I think she should've got to DO more... (maybe to try to stop Anakin's fall?) I dunno... maybe I'm crazy... My second favorite, very close to ROTS is ROTJ, just because Ani is redeemed and Palpatine DIES! WOOOOHOOOOO! The Ewoks are kinda annoying, yes. But there IS something I enjoy about the exchange between Leia and Wicket. I'm not quite sure what. My least favorite- TPM or ANH. Can't decide which. I hate Obi-Wan dying but the introduction of bumbly Jar-Jar can sometimes be too much to bear... haha.

I dunno... maybe I'm crazy... No, you aren't crazy..I don't like her dying either..and she Did try and bring him back..and, in my opinion, might have succeded if Obi-Wan hadn't shown up...anyways..She was strong in AOTC but remember in the ROTS she was pregnant with twins..so..even if she was/is a strong willed woman..she is pregnant and can't push/work herself as much...such as climbing up poles to get away from nexu's or..falling from republic ships....but I totally agree with you...i wanted to cry during that part because it was so sad and like a bitter tragedy ending...because you realize that its over, GL isn't making anymore movies...

I have to say I'm a bit torn by this.... My favorite: ROTS, why? Hot Anakin... Even in the burning Anakin scene he was still hot....Only literal.
Least fav: This is the hard one, Because I unlike most people I talk to, kinda like Jar-Jar, thought he was funny. But I must say I really was not a fan of ANH. (Don't know why, just get that feeling of GRRR during watching it at points)

I have to say I'm a bit torn by this.... My favorite: ROTS, why? Hot Anakin... Even in the burning Anakin scene he was still hot....Only literal. Quite. I'll try to explain my least favorite. Everyone seems to choose TPM... it is my least favorite, but there are things I so like about it. Namely, seeing that pure innocence in Anakin when he was young. I wonder how you'll react when I say my least favorite OT film is A New Hope...? I love ESB... so much Vader! And ROTJ brings Anakin back, as I said before. ANH... it's good, better then TPM, but I don't like Obi-Wan dying, even though that, like Padme's death, HAD to happen. I like it and all, but I never found it as enjoyable as the others in the OT. It's hard to explain, I guess. Anyway... This is a harder question to answer than I thought it would be!

I didn't see the TPM, I skipped it. So, you may say it's my least favorite SW . My two favorites are ROTJ and ROTS, fot they're mirrors to each other. For ROTS explains and brings into a new light the revelations made into the latest, and of course, the main quote of the ESB: " Luke, I'm your father." . Everything makes sense, and Anakin's story, finally told fully, turns out in fact to be the story of one family caught with the one of the galaxy . But the other reason is because I discovered a character who has been facing similar hardships as mine, who has given sense to them, but the most important of all, that I was human ;D. that I've been human to have been mistaken as he did, and as I said before, that if he could make it back to the Good Side, so could I . What I mean is, Anakin's to me a friend of old, a companion of route, a brother, due to all of this. Therein how meaningful ROTS became to me, although it's been two years I didn't see it again . But it wouldn't have been without Hayden well-inspired performance to brings Anakin's Spirit back to life, especially in ROTS . He made Anakin even more endearing to me, yet, I never forget that Hayden's as special as Anakin is, precisely for what he brought to me (check my blog for more details) . There's Hayden on one side, and Anakin's on the other... Speak of a rough situation ! Kisses, Sam.
