what does that mean?
I mean I know what Karma is..... but what is it in regards to this board?

I have seen it on other proboards. It's like a 'good point' for a person, and 'smite' is like a 'bad point.'

Correct astraltraveler! Members can award eachother with karmas when someone does something really nice. Only smite someone if they are being bad.

Okay, what's going on here? I guess I understand it if we were getting spammed, but it would be nice for people to at least be able to READ our stories without logging in. Is this something permanent?
I guess I have doubts about that because I've also noticed a lot of recent messages (whole threads) have gone missing. These would be threads that started just in the last couple of days and said nothing more threatening than "Hello, I'm new!" I'm guessing Proboards had to reload from a saved version?
Can someone enlighten us - not just me, but more importantly for the new people who are probably feeling slighted because their posts all got deleted?

There have been some unfortunate developments involving a particular individual. Sorry about this, it's a sad thing I didn't need or want to happen, especially not with al my other problems. I hope this won't scare anyone off, we have such a happy and peaceful place here. I am hoping this will only be temporary.
If anyone wants to discuss this further or needs more info please send me a PM. I don't want to get into this on the board, but thought you ought to know.
