Is anyone else interested in the football playoffs? Do you have a team you're pulling for? I'm a Colts fan, have been for many years. I hope they can finally do it this time!
Other teams I like a lot are 49ers, Redskins, Vikings, and Eagles. I like watching most any game, but especially mine and especially the playoffs. It's so intense, you only get that one shot.
I sure would like to talk about the playoffs, or football, if anyone has anything to say!

I love football, especially the NFL. The season seems to go by so quickly! I love the Redskins and the Broncos. I, too, will watch any game, and I usually do. I wanted the Colts to win, and the Saints and the Bears. Now I don't know who to root for when the Bears/Saints game is on next sunday.  I want the Colts to beat the Patriots. ;D |

well! i like the packers since like forever! but their not in the superbowl so im cherring for the colts ya'll!!! well until the superbowl is over! go colts go

i hate football
but i only watch the
superbowl for the
commercials and also
there playing the piarates
of the caribean trailer for
the 3rd one =)

here in my country, there aren't any football teams, well only soccer, so i don't understand very well, could someone explain the game to me?

OK! The object of the game is to score points by advancing the football into the opposing team's end zone. The ball can be advanced by carrying the ball, or by throwing or handing it from one teammate to the other. Points can be scored in a variety of ways, including carrying the ball over the goal line, throwing the ball to another player past the goal line or kicking it through the goal posts on the opposing side. The winner is the team with the most points when the time expires and the last play ends

lol yards is like if i threw the ball to someone and they ran with the ball and got tackled the person ran a few yards, its like mesurement basically

I didn't like it until I understood how it worked, then I was hooked! It's NOT just a bunch of guys knocking each other down. It's got strategy, like battles. You gain or lose territory on your way to scoring. A team has 4 chances to get 10 yards. If they don't get them in 3, they usually punt, since if you lose out again on 4th down the other team takes over from there. By punting, you can put them farther back. The goal is to get all the way down the field and score a touchdown (7 points with the extra point kick) If you don't make it to the goal line, you can kick a field goal (3 points) if you are close enough for your kicker to make it. It all gets very interesting and exciting, if you know what's going on and you like, or hate, a certain team!
