Well, anyone want to comment on the sale of Star Wars to Disney? Hopefully, it won't impact the world of fanfiction. Interestingly, I found this picture on my old site, which was posted back in July, 2008.  Kind of prophetic, eh?  |

I'm not happy at all. George Lucas never cared if we wrote and posted our fics, but Disney is so sue happy it scares me. I do not like the idea of SW being owned by what has become a huge conglomorate, nothing like what it was in Walt's day. I am also furious at Lucas for selling out. He didn't need the money. He had my dream come true, rich and famous for his OWN stories, he owned all the rights and had creative control. How many people want that? I know I do! And he threw it all away. I do not think it's going to be a good thing for anyone.
