...and yes, i do realize that the council was made up of beings who had learned to listen to the will of the force..but Hmm. I guess I should have been more clear, but I get so wound up in posting so much at one time ... I never meant they listened to the will of the Force. I was trying to point out that they SHOULD have, that it was their JOB to listen to it, but that they were too arrogant and DID NOT. They were far too impressed with the fact that they were Jedi (look at us, we're special, we can hear the Force and you can't ...) Oh, I apologize...I misunderstood what you were trying to point out...that is my own fault..I interpretted it wrong... I do see what you are trying to say now...and I agree...I guess i just get caught up in the fact that it is Right there, and they can't see it...but..as you have said..They don't see it in the point of view that we have...

all in all...... the PT had to play out the way they did for the entire saga to flow and become one movie.....
The Jedi had to be flawed to be defeated as they were...... Anakin was flawed...... Obi-wan was flawed.......
It is alot to asks the fans though about Palpatine being right under their noses...... I have to agree there....
Deep down I think that Yoda and the council never really fathomed the Sith taking over.... they got "lazy" over the years...... I think moony said it Yoda and the Council needed to know more about the dark side, to know their enemy..... then they might have seen what was coming, and not until it was too late.

the counsil very scatterbrained in these moive!!!!! the sith lord was under their nose the inter time!!! and they weren't wise about anakin when he went for master yoda's help... the only thing yoda said was 'the future is always in motion'. so that doesnt help things at.

I agree they were so arrogant it truly blinded them. They were unyielding in their archaic attitudes.

Yes, that's what led to their fall and Anakin's too.

You've read my mind, for I know deep down that's exactly that! Kisses, Sam.
