Yes, Annie, I'm not a fan of the EU at all. Never read about it, and probably never will. I think I will stick with dreaming up stories to replace it- and read others' fanfics that also serve that purpose, which I agree are infinitely better!

I think it's expanded universe. Lucas has said it was separate from his universe (canon)

I'd say yours is expanded universe, or extended- because it takes place outside the movies but you haven't changed the outcome of the movie. Those of us who've done that are AU (alternate universe) But let me say I like your story much better than the EU books! When I say I don't like the EU, that's the books at the store. I have seen EU fanfic I like a lot! Fans seem to have so much better ideas, and feel for the characters!

I agree, Annie. I really love the stories here that I've read. (And I promise to read them all!)
I also liked James Luceno's books, arie.

Speaking of his books , I've added yesterday to my readings Dark Lord-The Rise Of Darth Vader , and The Unifying Force, that's it . The two missing ones to my private library . I can't truly associate myself with the rest , it doesn't correspond to me at all , as Anakin's feminine pendant back from the Hell we've both known ... With Love, Sam.

EU means Expanded Universe just to clear up the thinking, LOL. I like reading both AU and EU, well I that back about EU. The Legacy of the Force series I didn't like some of the things that Han's son did, but I can't wait to get my hands on the last Legacy of the Force book because in that on Jacen's twin sister Jaina is suppose ask Boba Fett for help on how to capture people. I'm thinking that she's going to either make him see the light, or he is going to kill her. I also can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the tenth Last of the Jedi book. If Anyone has that book please DO NOT spill any details out about it. I've been reading some of the stories posted here. I will try and read more when I have more time.

Never occurred to me that my first thing to do on this forum, would be to get this topic back on the run after a year of silence!
OK, usually, I'm buying my Star Wars novels according to what I've been going through into the past months or year. Well, I never thought that my last buy would be...The Legacy Of The Force-Sacrifice, where, to my astonishement and horror, the author got Mara, Luke's beloved wife, killed...by Jacen Solo, the remaining son of Han and Leia!
Oddly, Jacen's degree od corruption, as far as I managed to grab it from my flipping across the book, hasn't been without reminding me of the similar one a person close to me underwent last year, just like him, because of a lady familiar with the Dark Ways, just like Lumiya did with Jacen.
Meaning, I was in Mara's place, save at the difference that I made it once more, and brought back somehow my friend to the reason, with my endless patience and care. And I guess also because I've been there before, remember? My affinities and similarities with Anakin spoke up once again, the one I'm considering like an old brother and a friend, let it be made out of paper, came to my help again...
With Love,
Sam.
