I have a very good friend who has a sister who had a lot of problems. Because of this, her first daughter was raised by the aunt and grandmother, and the second daughter was adopted out. (the father of the first girl faked his own death to avoid paying for her, and the father of the second was told the baby died and he was never heard from again.)
Anyway, the girls are now 20 and 17. "M" had met "C" on a message board two years ago and they had become very good friends. Finally "C" suggested that since they had known each other so long and had hit it off so well that they should go ahead and do what they were told not to do- reveal their real names and locations to each other. "M" told her that her name was M***** W*******. "C" was stunned. She said, "W****** is a rare name, and I recently found out my birth mother's name was Diana W*******. Are you by any chance related to her?"
"M" was so shocked she could hardly type. "OMG." She finally replied. "She's my Mom, too. You're my long lost sister!"
They have since met and are closer than ever. What are the chances of finding your long lost sister as a random online friend? About as much as Luke had of running into Leia! True story!

Annie, this was a true sweet real life story, and I'm glad that both sisters ran into each other again after so long, and that their kin-closeness is simply amazing! Indeed like Luke and Leia!
Kisses,
Sam.
