There are many people in this world who would scoff at me or just not understand my feelings for this amazing piece of work by Jonathan Larson.
I'm not sure if anyone here is familiar with RENT, but I can honestly say that this musical changed my life. We are all inspired, right?
The lyrics speak to me- they make so much sense and I can apply them to life right now. And I instantly fell in love with all the characters.
After watching the film obsessively for quite some time, I had the opportunity to see the show live.
Last December, I traveled with a group of friends and my aunt to see RENT, and I sobbed at the end. I hadn't thought it possible- but the musical was BETTER than the movie. The film NEVER brought me to the point of tears.
RENT is my favorite musical by far, but I am a fan of MANY musicals. I hereby open this thread to discuss musicals and perhaps RENT, if anyone somewhat shares my love for it.
