New Book

Hello everyone
I just wanted to let you all know that I have been given a publishing deal (my first one!!) and will be having a novel published sometime in the next several months. It won't be a Star Wars novel, of course; but rather an historical romance set in Medieval Scotland. I will keep anyone interested updated when I learn the projected publication date.

I've noticed than many American authors are taking either Medieval Scotland or Ireland as their background referrences . Most of the English written romances that I've at home are set into Medieval Ireland or England, but never Scotland .

On the other hand, in my personal works in process, the first book of my trilogy is set in Ireland during the Viking Era , the second one nowadays in Canada (maybe next Japan?!) , and the last one, still nowadays, should have the city of Salem as the background .

I certainly am ! Historically set books have their place in my heart ...and on my shelves ;D!

Congratulations!!!! I've beaten myself to death trying to get published and have so far had no luck (not that I've tried lately - must get back to work at it!) - so even if you don't yet know the publication date, getting the deal at all is a MAJOR victory!!

Yes, please do let us know when you find out, as well as the final title and your writing name (which I'm supposing is not going to be "therealthing"?)

I hope you're at least able to finish "My Daughter" before you have to get to work fulfilling the terms of the contract, though ... (she said selfishly).

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. My Daughter is finished, I'm just posting a few chapters at a time. I have another story too that is almost finished that I will be posting, and may write a sequel for The Protector. So as you can see, my fan fiction writing will continue. I expect I will be doing some editing on the book this summer, but other than that I dont have a clue what to expect. Crystal if you want the name of the publisher I would be happy to give it to you- they are one of the few around who give new authors a shot otherwise I'd still be plugging away too.

Glad to know that My Daughter is a finished work and that there's at least one more story following it that is close to completion. I hope you have time to write the sequel to The Protector as well, but I won't hold my breath - I'm envisioning them wanting much more than the one completed story from you. And once you are published, you have a foot in the door to get paid for writing Star Wars fanfiction (if you want to, that is).
