Three years, 3 years ago the war had started, the galaxi had changed a lot in that time, the people feared that the separatist won and took away their freedom, in the senate the senators they didn't know who they could trust, Chancellor Palpatine?, the Jedi?, The goverment in their planets?, the Separatist?, everithing was so mixed up.

The situation of the Jedi wasn't so different, the were planets who didn't trust them anymore for their security, some parent's didn't want their children to become jedis, some of the greatest knigths were in battle most of the time, the padawans had to learn more quickly so they could help more, the council had lost members, there were so many deads in this war, they didn't know how much time it will take for the order to dissapear, but in other parts there were also great news, padawans who had abandoned the order had return in order to help, and some others had been knigted, in those who were know jedi knigths was Padme Naberrie, she was a great warrior and she and her master, Obi Wan Kenobi, were a great help for the war, they had fougth for 3 years for democracy, this made Padme stronger and in some ways more private, they had days of leave, but they weren't many, you could count them easily and it had been 3 years, but now they were in a very important mission to rescue chancellor Palpatine from General Grievous this wasn't going to be and easy job.

But between these two differents worlds of politics and the jedi, two people dared to challenge all the rules, senator Anakin Skywalker and Padme Naberrie had gotten married 3 years ago, and barely spend time with eachother, for their duties, it hasn't been easy, there were times when they wanted to throw away their dutties but they knew they were important in each of his fields, and there were other times when they wanted to leave behind their relation ship but the love they felt was stronger than any of that moments.

Senator Skywalker stood watching the planet-city, he could not help but wonder what was she doing?, he hoped she was ok, he had not seen since 3 months ago when there has been a battle in naboo and she had gone there to help, but then their time run short when she called to another mission, he missed her, but he knew this was the best at least for the time being, he was sure soon they'll be together and they could finally be together in the way they wanted, he looked at the sky, what would Padme think if she knew about the organization that he was not only part but main representative of? would she agreed? He knew she still believed in Palpatine but he couldn't, he saw how many senators fougth to stop the war but it was almost like if he liked the war, and Anakin also knew Palpatine was now getting more power with every passing day, and besides that he wanted to Padme took another place in the jedi order, one of more importance, he at that time was only waiting for Padme to get herself away from him by herself, then he looked at the sky again and remember the important battle that was taking place there, and he knew his Padme was there.

Padme Naberrie was fliying a blue jedi starfigther, finally she seemed to be getting home to her Anakin, but first she had to finish this mission, her Master was in his ship next to her.

"Ready Padme?"

"You know me, Master, i am always ready" said Padme with a grin

"Yea well, lets hurry, and get everithing settle here, I miss Dexe's food and want to get something, and if you behave then I'll get you something"

"I hope it's better than last time, when you let me with the bill" Padme joked, she loved how her relationship with her Master had changed.

"It won't be" said Obi wan then noticed the ships that were coming in fron of them "so, let's get this party started"

"after you, Master" said Padme then the battle began.

Senator Anakin Skywalker, stared at the big city, he wondered where she was, if she was safe, then someone broke his toughs, it was his good friend Bail Organa.

"Anakin, I need to talk to you" said Bail, then Anakin motioned towards a chair, he sat down and Bail did the same "Do you know that the jedi send a rescue team for the Chancellor, they are entering courasant as we speak"

"Really who did they send?" asked Anakin, more he wanted to know if it was Padme

"Obi Wan Kenobi, and the Chancellors favorite, Padme Naberrie" Padme, she was coming, she was safe, tough Anakin, then he realized what Bail had just said.

"What do you mean?" asked Anakin.

"Well, Anakin i am corcened about the amount of power the chancellor is getting, and he know one way to stopped him is through the jedis and he is playing that card really well with Naberrie, he knows she's one of the best in the order, and now he's including her in meetings about the war and ask for her opinions, I fear that she's Chancellor's allie in all this mess"

"I don't think so" Said Anakin, trying to defend his wife "I mean, I know Padme, and she doesn't thrusth this war also"

"yeah, but who could tell us if she rather figth than diplomacy" Bail then stopped and when he was about to continue someone interrupted.

"Excuse me, Senators, the transport with the chancellor is already close to get to the bay, and Senator Skywalker his sister is calling"

"Tell her I'll call her later" said Anakin talking to Padme was more important than talking to Winter and her baby troubles, then he loked at Bail and said "Let's go"

They started walking thorugh a hall, then when they got to the docking bay, then they saw the ship had already land, and the two jedi were talking to Master Windu, and the Chancellor was with the Senator, Anakin could see the talk between the jedi was serius but he came closer to them he wanted to near her.

"Excuse, Masters Jedi" said Anakin, he shared a brieft glance with Padme "I wanted to tell you how we apreciatte what you did for the Chancellor, and the republic"

"Thank you, Senator, now if you excuse me, I have to return to the council" said Mace Windu then he looked at Padme and Obi Wan "We'll see you two, later" said Mace then he bowed and went to his speeder.

"Senator" said Obi Wan Kenobi "can I have a word with you?" asked Obi Wan, Anakin didn't want to, but he had to.

"Of course" replied Anakin

"Master, Senator, if you excuse me, I have an important meeting to get to" said Padme, Anakin could see darkness in her eyes, not the sparkle that was there even in their public meetings.

"Of course, and remember what I told you" said Obi wan "I'll see you for lunch, later" finished Obi Wan, then Anakin saw how she walked towards the senators oficces.

"I see you have a good relationship with Jedi Naberrie" said Anakin, he was a little jelaus, she was his wife and was going to have lunch with HIM.

"yes, she has been a good friend, and is like my little sister sometimes." replied Obi Wan with a smile.

"yeah, well, i suppose that's not what you wanted to talk about" said Anakin.

"you're rigth, I have a speeder waiting for me, so I'll be quickly, Senator, the republic is turning into our most dangerous enemy and i think you know why I said this, very soon all the things we loved, will disapear, but I hope the jedi can count on naboo as our allie" said Obi Wan.

Anakin did not expected this, that the jedi were taking care of this too, but he had no doubts about what he should do, about what naboo should do.

"Of course we're in" said Anakin

"Thank you, Senator." then Obi wan walked off and went to his speeder.

Anakin continue walking towards his office, when he got there, someone pulled to a closet, some warm lips crashed against his.

"I tough you said you had a meeting" said Anakin as he kissed her, and pulled out her coat, then he moves towards her neck, kissing her hard, taking as much as he could.

"you want me to go" asked Padme

"No" said Anakin "I never want that" they stopped for a minute, and stared at eachother eyes.

"Good, they can wait, they're just some boring politicians" this made Anakin laugh and then kiss her, they a lot to talk about, but that could wait.

Padme, Anakin and other senator where in the meeting the chancellor had called, it had been
2 hours long by now,Padme didn't see the point of why she was there, then suddenly the Chancellor said something that caugth her attention.

"My friends, maybe you're wondering about knigth naberrie in this meeting, well i wanted to have one person that was trusthworthy for me and knith naberrie does"

"I am sorry but i don't understand my lord, what are you trying to tell us?" asked Bail Organa, Anakin looked at his wife asking her with his eyes what was the chancellor talking about, but by now Padme knew as much as Anakin.

"Well this are dangerous time's for the republic, and as many of you know Padme, is the next jedi to probably be called to be on the jedi council, well i tough if that's ok with you senator's that she should be the eyes, the ears and the voice of the republic in the jedi council" said Chancellor Palpatine

"Excuse me, Chancellor, but i don't think that's the rigth thing to do, i am not doubting of jedi naberrie's skills, but i don't think the jedi council would like to have a spy in their council, and their chosen one" said Anakin, Padme couldn't believe it, after all she was moving fast in jedi order, and now he was triying to stop her, why didn't her husband wanted to see her succeed?.

"well senator" said Papatine, Padme could not speack she was triying to process everithing that was happening " i have tough about this decision, and i wouldn't call her a spy since all of us are working for the republic, or tell me senator Skywalker is there something you and the council want to hide?" asked Palpatine, Padme looked at Anakin, who had his glance at Palpatine, as if Palpatine had said something, something dangerous.

"Of course not my lord, now if you excuse us" said Bail Organa, interfiering betwwen Palpatine and Anakin, Anakin turn around to see if Padme was folowing him, but he saw that she stood there by Palpatine's side, what was happening, his wife should be at his side.

When they and the other senators where out of palpatine's office he said "So, that was interesting, i never tough Skywalker was going to react like this".

"What do you mean?" asked Padme, she was confused, scared.

"well, him jelous, that he didn't get that assigment" said Palpatine

"well he's not a jedi" said Padme, triying to justify her husband.

"Yeah, but he had good relations with the jedi and i can assure you, there's something that he's hiding, I don't know what exactly" Padme tough about their secret marriage but then the chancellor said "Is dangerous if he's not on the republic side, on the democracy side"

MEANWHILE IN THE HALLWAY

"Anakin, you have to put yourself together" said Bail Organa

"I can't believe it, it's just, now she will be on the council and...." he couldn't believe it, he was doubting abotu Padme, but he didn't know what to think, where her loyalties where

"do you know something i don't?" said Bail.

"A jedi told me that if the jedi council count with naboo, because i think they know something about the chancellor and....."

"If Naberrie is with the Chancellor she could mess this up" finish Bail, then they turn around and saw Padme leaving the Chancellor's office and coming closer to them.

"Senator's" she bowed "senator Organa, excuse me but i would like to make an appoimment with you about the army that is about to be send to Alderaan"

"I didn't request more army for my planet" said Bail

"I know, but the Chancellor and Myself think is for the best, after all Alderaan is not a planet we want to loose" said Padme with a glance so determinate, so powerful, Anakin was really starting to wonder what happened to the glow in her glance.

"of course, but i didn't ask for it, so i'll not sign anything accepting it" said Bail.

"then we'll do it without your signature" Padme stood there

"Excuse me, i have to go, i can't stand being here anymore, i'll talk to you later, Knigth Naberrie, and Anakin you made the rigth decision." said Bail and walked off

"What the hell is happening to you?" asked Anakin

"What do you mean?" said Padme with a sarcastic tone

""you, sending armies, and talking to bail like that, and being so buddy-buddy with palpatine"

"well he seems to be the only one around here that shows how much he cares for democracy"

"Democracy? come on Padme, he's just waiting for the rigth moment to..."

"To what?" asked Padme, defending him, why anakin was acting like this, why couldn't he be happy for her, all this jelausy about her job, didn't let him saw clear betwwen what was rigth.

"nothing, forget it" then he saw how Padme turn around and went towards the dock "where are you going?!"

"I have to meet my master for lunch" said Padme withouth turning around.

"Oh rigth, your master" now he was using the sarcastic tone

"yes" at this point Padme finally turn around, "and i am really mad that i have to go like this, figthing with you, because is sad to see that you're so blinded for something so stupid, that you made us miss the happiest moment that we could ever had, because i was going to tell you that i was planning on leaving the order and leave to naboo like we had planned, and now i don't know if should do that, and you know why i was leaving the order? because i had had sickness since three months ago!"

"what does that have to do with this?!" yelled anakin as he saw Padme entering in a speeder.

"because i am pregnant!"

Pregnant? Wow, he certainly wasn't expecting this, he was going to be a father, his world and his priorities change suddenly, now the most important thing for him was his family, the fact that in a few months a little baby was going to depend on him made him feel dizzy, no one has ever depended on him, after all, his wife was strong, and sure she needed him, but not in the way his son or daugther would depend on him, how could he learn everithing he needed to know before the baby would come?.
He let Padme go, he knew both needed space, and he needed to digest this, to think, what was going to happen?, and suddenly he knew that the time has come, he knew that in the begining of their marriage they pur their dutty first, but this couldn't happen again, now their baby needed both of them, and they would have to leave a part of them so they could be the family they always wanted.

Padme arrived to Dex's Dinner, there were rumors in the Jedi Temple that she was going to be leading the next campaign to Alderaan, and at this point she knew she had to let this opurtinity go for her baby, she didn't know what Anakin had decided, so she had to think for the baby and her all alone, she just didn't know what to tell Obi Wan.

"Padme!" said Obi Wan as he waved his Padawan.

"Master, hi!" said Padme

"So, i hope you don't mind but i ordered already, I am so hungry, and at one point i understand what you always said to me about how boring those meeting could be!" said Obi Wan cheerfully.

"Ha" said Padme a little absent "Master, there's something i need to tell you" said Padme, she had to tell him.

"What is it Padme?" asked Obi Wan worried after seeing her face.

"Well, it's about..." started Padme, she couldn't tell him in a place like this and with not knowing what anakin tough "my meeting with the Chancellor, he said he wanted me to be the representative of the republic in the jedi council"

"Well, that was to be expected" said Obi Wan, relief that it wasn't something worst "and in fact the jedi council is talking about making you a member, but there's also this option about Alderaan wich I think is great, it would make you capable of so many things in the force, I think you should take it"

"I know, and I wanna take it" started Padme, now how could she tell him she couldn't go, after all she knew how important this mission was "But Master, i have been feeling sick, and I'm worried that it may be caused more trouble"

"Sick? yeah i have noticed in your face" said Obi Wan "but remember you could always use your force shield on the mission, at least when it gets really dangerous, and besides in the latest missions you have done excellent, you never get hurt"

That was true, if only he knew, but maybe he was rigth she could take care of herself, she could take the mission it was one month after all, and then she could have enough precensse in the jedi council, and maybe Anakin and her didn't have to make such drasticcs decisions about their jobs.

"You're rigth Master, count me in" said Padme, after that they had a quiet lunch, and then Obi Wan went to the Senate and Padme to the Jedi Temple, the mission started the next day, and had to take care of some things and then to tell Anakin.

Obi Wan arrived to the Senate and went to Senator Organa's office, when he got in, he noticed Skywalker and Organa talking and smiling.

"Excuse me, Senators" said Obi Wan

"Master Kenobi, we were expecting you!, I hope nothing serius happened" said Organa

"Oh no, I was just having lunch with Kingth Naberrie and that's why I am here" said Obi wan

"Ok, let's seat then" said Organa motioning Obi Wan and Anakin their seats "What is it Master Kenobi?"

"Well, I know you didn't want militar infiltration to your planet, and I disscussed that matter in the council today, but the decision was made, and i couldn't done anything about it, but I could get someone to take the mission and I am sure that will take care of your planet better than anyone"

"And who is this Jedi?" asked Organa, Anakin only looked the face of his friend and could tell he was not happy about the war in his planet

"My old Padawan, Padme Naberrie" At this point Anakin's face went white, Padme was going to take this mission! "I disccused this matter with my old Padawan, and at first she didn't want to go because of personal reasons, but it's a great opportunity for her, and I am sure she will take good care about your planet"

Anakin was on his way home, he couldn't believe this, Padme took the mission, how could she do that?, she was pregnant!, and it was dangerous for her to that, when he got out of his speeder he saw Padme sitting in the living room, just staring at her hands.

"Hello" said Anakin like if he didn't care

"Hi" said Padme, she never took her eyes out of her hands

"So.... I heard about your mission, and how this mission can put you in the jedi council" said Anakin, he didn't hesitate in showing how hurt he was.

"Anakin, let me explain" said Padme, Anakin only nodded and let her continue "I have to do this, this is an opurtunitty I can't miss, if I do this, I will show the council how I can have a marriage, a Baby and my jedi carreer, and then we wouldn't have to leave everithing we believe in, what is important to us"

"You want to know what is important to me?" said Anakin moving closer to her and putting his hands on her belly "this baby is, and the baby's mother, but she is willing to put both of the things I love the most in danger!, and why Padme! so we can have the best of two worlds, you know we can't!, we knew it in the minute we said I do!"

"Well maybe we can change that!, you're not even willing to try it! and nothing will happen to my baby!, I know what i am risking, Anakin, but i know how far can i go, and i know my baby will not get hurt!"

"When are you leaving?" asked Anakin

"Tomorrow" said Padme quietly

"Then I guees you should leave, I imagine you have a lot of things to get done" said Anakin pointing at her speeder.

"I wanted to spend the afternoon with my husband" said Padme she had tears in her eyes.

"I also wanted to spend the evening with my wife, but the person standing in fron of me it's not the same woman i married with, that's why i am asking you to leave" said Anakin.

Padme only got in the speeder, and knew the next time she saw Anakin everithing was going to be different, the next time they saw eachother...... she doubted there will be happiness, she knew this could be the end of them.

It has been 2 months, the mission in Alderaan had been difficult but somehow Padme had made it through the challenges, her belly notices, maybe not to much, thanks to the jedi robes and the fact that she was thin in the beggining of the pregnancy made it easy to hide it at least for a while, she had not talk to Anakin about the situation, however they had seen eachother, a month ago he came with senator Organa and they talk about situations about the war.

For Anakin the situation was different he try to spend all the time he could in the senate, trying not to think about her, Organa not knowing his marriage situation had set him up on dates and now he was seeing a woman, her name was Cassandra, he only tough of her as a friend, after all he was married and he really loved Padme, on the other part he was part of the rebellion and they expected made their first move in two motnhs more, he didn't know how the republic will made it through this hit but he had to made this, for his baby, because eventough things with padme weren't clear, he was going to be a father and with Padme or Cassandra, his baby will have him.

It was a rainy day in Alderaan, Padme stood looking through a window in her hand she had a commlink from Obi Wan Kenobi, it said that she had to return to Courassant that he had good news for her that these news would made her very happy, however she knew the news she could recieve couldn't make her happy as she once had been, she had had it all, and now that she return to Courassant she knew everithing had changed, she didn't know what to expect with Anakin, and with the jedi council, the chancellor on the other part had been very understanding with her, for Padme the chancellor was like a father, the only true friend she felt she had left, Padme turn around after hearing a noise, a stortrooper was standing in the door waiting for her.

"Excuseme Jedi Naberrie, your ship is ready" said the stormtrooper

"Thanks Capitain" and then Padme started walking towards the docking bay, in her way back Padme tried to avoid thinking about Anakin, Obi Wan had told her that he was going to be there as her master and friend to greet her but also he had a meeting with Organa that was also going to be there to talk to her about the situation in his planer, and with that Padme knew Anakin was going to be there, she closed her eyes, and put her hands in her belly, she couldn't believe how much time had passed, what will Anakin said to her after all this time?, then she saw it, the big city planet, she finally had arrived, part of her wanted to get out of the ship the other part wanted to stay in the ship and not seeing no one, the figths had been horribles, so much lives wasted, but they were necessary, for the republic, only few people could see that the war was a good thing, Anakin couldn't see it, Padme didn't understand perhaps Organa had much more influence in him than Padme had tough, then she saw through the window, the docking bay, she could see Organa and her Master, then Anakin her heart feel crushed when she saw a woman near him, when she got out of the ship she took a deep breath and knew everithing had changed.

Anakin on the other part after seeing her face knew the war was paying off on her, her face was darker, more cruel, her way to walk was different, her hair on a ponytail, her jedi robes were dark, and then he noticed something, it had been 6 months since she had told him about the baby, where was the belly? he had expected to be noticed, but nothing, she looked the way she was when they got married, what had happened?, then he noticed she was in front of him ready to greet him.

"Senator" said Padme bowing

"Jedi Naberrie" said Anakin "I hope you had a good journey, and your mission had gone excellent"

"It did, tough i had some falls I made it through"

Anakin knew that was the way Padme told him something had gone wrong with the baby.

"I am Cassandra" interrupted Cassandra "I have heard a lot about your missions, it a placer to meet you Jedi Naberrie"

"Thank you, I am sorry are you a Senator?" asked Padme she had felt intrigued about her since she saw her.

"Oh no, I work here but I am not a Senator, but I am the girlfriend of this one" she said tooking Anakin by the arm, Anakin looked at Padme she looked hurt, why Cassandra said that? they were only friends, he had made it clear for her.

"Oh well congratulations, Senator" said Padme with tear in her eyes

"Well anough about introductions" Said Organa "I want to hear about what is the alderaan situation, please Jedi Naberrie, follow me"

And Padme did so, and behind her was Obi Wan, he walk faster to catch her.

"Padme" said Obi Wan "i know these past few weeks had been hard after what happened to-" but Padme interrupted before he even finished.

"I am ok, Master" said Padme "But I would have rather prefered stay in Alderaan or to another mission, can you tell me why does the council wanted me to come back"

"Oh that's a surprise Padme" said Obi Wan with a smile

Perfect another surprised tough Padme, she wanted to get out of there and never see anakin again, he hated him, she wanted to make him feel as destroyed as she was rigth now.

Padme had the meeting with senator Organa and her Master, then as she was walking down the hall she got a commlink from the Chancellor’s office telling her that the Chancellor wanted to talk with her, so here she was, waiting to got into the meeting.

“My dear, I just heard that you were back, and decided that I had to talk with you” said Palpatine, Padme always saw him like a father figure, and right now she needed a friend.

“Yes, I’m sorry, I couldn’t come sooner, I wanted to, since I got out of the ship” said Padme

“I heard about your injury in a battle, and about what you lost” said Palpatine

“Yeah, I lost a lot of things since the last time I was here Chancellor, but I decided that I am not willing to loose another one” said Padme, her eyes were determined, she knew what she lost, she lost her husband, but now Padme knew what she wanted and that was to become a jedi master, a jedi in the council, and show them all, even Anakin, that she could do all by her own.

“And I am willing to help you, My dear child, you’re like a daughter to me” said Palpatine then he put his hand on her cheek “you have a great future, and I am proud to be a part of your life, as your mentor, and to show you all the things you have been denied”

After the meeting, Padme was walking towards the ship not wanting to ran into Anakin, but did chancellor offered more power maybe?, she knew it was time to show them all how wrong they were, but how far could she go?, then someone interrupted her toughs by putting a hand in her shoulder, she turn around, it was Anakin.

“Hello Senator” said Padme

“So this is how it’s going to be” said Anakin sadly, he really miss her smile, but by seeing her face he could tell that it was not coming back

“Yes, I didn’t see your GIRLFRIEND around” said Padme

“Come on, Padme, you know that’s not thrue” said Anakin, and then he then fell silence, then he decided to break the silence and said “how’s the baby?”

“Gone” said Padme, as coldly as she could then she turn around and left, letting Anakin alone, surprised and heart broken

Gone? did she lost the baby? his baby, Anakin followed Padme and took her by the arm getting both of them in an empty conference room.

"What do you mean by gone?!" asked Anakin, he was in serious pain, this wasn't the way everithing was supposed to go.

"I lost it, that's what i meant, now can i go, please?" said Padme she wanted to cry, to sit in a corner and just cry, to be alone

"No!, you can't go!, don't you see how much pain you're causing me now!, how much agony I want through and now you just want to go!" he didn't care if anyone heard him, who was this woman?, this wasn't his Padme, this cold and distant person wasn't the always happy Padme.

"YES! I know the pain that it causes, probably more than you do!, you weren't there when they stab me, and when I woke up I wanted to die, I wanted to change my life for my baby's life!, I saw the blood and I knew that was my baby! and it hurts so much I can't see your eyes because I wonder if my baby's eyes were going to be same!" Anakin at this point came quickly to hug her, in a way were they demostrate how much pain they were in "I'm so sorry Anakin!, I am sorry I din't listen, and that I am here and my baby isn't, I am so very sorry"

Anakin and Padme were now on the floor crying for the baby they were never going to meet, they were just holding eachother, after all the problems that they had and the unkonow future they knew they had, this moment would give them in the future what they needed to face all their troubles, but they didn't know what was ahead, that was the scary thing.
