They were still holding eachother when Padme's commlink started to beep, she saw who it was and stood up
"What are you doing?" asked Anakin
"I have to take this" said Padme as she placed the commlink to see the hologram, then she pushed the bottom and the chanchellor's image aparead "Chancellor"
"My dear child, how are you?" he asked, Anakin who was standing at the corner saw Padme and The chancellor from one to another, then Padme responded
"I have been better, but I guess that's not why you contacted me" said Padme, Anakin was really impresed on how fast she could change her motions one moment she was sad and crying for the baby they lost and the next she had a cold expression that no one could read.
"No, you're rigth, I wanted to be the first to congratulate you, my dear child" said Palpatine, now Anakin was intrigued what had happened, what did Padme not tell him?
"Well, the mission was hard but I made it...." but she got interrupted by the chancellor
"You think this is about Alderaan?, you're wrong dear Padme, haven't you heard?, you dear are appointed to be in the meeting of the Jedi Council, you're to be a Master"
At this point both Anakin and Padme has surprise expression on their faces, this wasn't what they were expecting, Maybe Padme's plans could work and they could show the council the balance they had with love and duty, this was their chance.
"What? I didn't know anything my lord, I mean I wanted to see the masters today but I tough of leaving the order" Padme confessed, another surprise for Anakin
"What?! are you crazy my child? the republic needs you, and you know that the republic has higher plans for you, I hope that with this you think about leaving the order again" said Palpatine
"Of course I will, My lord" and with that Palpatine's image dissapeared, and Padme turned to see Ankin, she couln't read what he tough
"I guess your plan is working" said Anakin
"I don't want it to work, I want to leave the order"
"And then what Padme?, be a senator, you can't stand being away from that action" said Anakin
"I also can't stand being this way with you, I am ready to be your wife, I want everyone to know it, for us, for our baby" said Padme, Anakin came closer to her and hold her with all the love she need it, this was the real Padme, the Padme Anakin knew
"I want you to go along with your plan and then when the time is rigth we will tell everybody about our love, this war is about to be over, we are needed, we know it, let's stay like this at least till the situation is more stable" Anakin said as they hold eachother.
