You've well rendered the fact how much people loving each other can actually hurt one another without thinking much, mainly with anger rearing its ugly nose.

Natalie's repartee's, "How mature. I'm glad I'm not with you," is very realistic, for in fact any woman has or had at last spat such phrase into her life to connotate the immaturity on the man facing her, especially if she and he had gotten involved at some point. For indeed, you've well rendered also Hayden's immaturity on this part, like any you man of his own age would do, mainly under the impact of anger, in an idea of revenge. For that's exactly what it was, and by her statement, Natalie made clear she got the point, and not the other researched effect he was looking for.

Congratulations!

And I hope you'll make see Hayden how immature of him this was, and that Rachel's spell will wear off, or already has? Considering the well-found last sentence closing this chapter.

Excellent capture of confusing feelings eating at both Hayden and Natalie's hearts. Especially from Hayden's side, absolutely feeling lost for good after what Natalie shot at him the night before. And she, aware she meant it, but did she really did? That's the question!

On the other hand, you've very well rendered the hypocrisy of each respective new companion, their true nature is rising up to the surface, when it comes to claim what they're thinking is their due, and shouldn't be discussed.

I hope than to see that both Rachel and Jude are up to not know any better than they did themselves so far, will ring the waking-up call bell for both Hayden and Natalie!
