All right, Folks, upon Annie's very request, I'm opening up this thread about the places I've travelled to.
London, England (Twice-first as a student, the second back in 2004). Bay of Napoli, Italy (One time-as a student with my Latin class). USA: Seattle (as an exchange student), New-York, San Diego, San Francisco, Florida, Arizona and New-Mexico (familial trips). Canada (Twice-Canadian West and Montreal, Québec). Egypt (Cruise on the Nile). Kenya (Safari photo). Vienna, Austria. Bruges, Belgium. Stockholm, Sweden. Mauritius. Australia (Twice-first, I did Sydney, the Red Centre and Cairns. The second time, Sydney solely). Bangkok, Thailand. Hong-Kong. Singapore (Twice-The Gate of Asia, and my all-time favourite inspirational place). And soon to be added to the list, Tôkyô, Japan.
Kisses,
Sam.

Wow, Sam, you've been all over! That sounds like so much fun! You're so lucky!
I've never traveled abroad, but the US is a huge country and I've traveled all over it by car. I've been to 41 states and have taken several very long road trips, one all the way to the west coast and back (I'm on the east coast) I've been to 2 Canadian provinces, Alberta (we were detained at the border and got searched because I didn't know I had to bring my son's birth certificate and they must have thought my brother and I were kidnapping him!) and Ontario (Niagara Falls)
So even if you haven't left your own country, whatever your country is, tell us about your trips anyway!

I'm leaving Sunday (6/17) for a two-week trip, so I won't be able to post anything until I return. A friend and I are taking a drive from Colorado up to Yellowstone and down the West Coast and back through Arizona and New Mexico.

Hi, there! We are in Boise, Idaho right now and it's 11:50 p.m. (Tuesday, 6/19). We left last Sunday from Colorado Springs and stopped at the Wyoming Territorial Prison near Laramie, WY. It was very interesting to see it and read the history of prisoners and workers who had been there. We also stopped by Sacajaweia Cemetery in Washakie, WY and it was very beautiful. Lots of graves of Shoshone peoples and each had many remembrances laid on it. There were some wonderful prayers and wishes on some of the headstones. Very nice. We finally got to Jackson, WY at around 9:00 p.m., after going through a construction zone on US287 which was unpaved! Not good for a Mustang! We made it anyway and bedded down for the night. Monday morning we drove through the Grand Tetons National Park with incredible vistas of these fantastic and young mountains. Just do a search on Grand Tetons, and I'm sure you'll see some wonderful photos. (I'm going to put mine of photobucket and I'll post the link to it later.) Then we went into Yellowstone National Park and went straight to Old Faithful. We had to wait only about 45 minutes for the geyser to put on its show. Just incredible! After that we drove around the lower loop (96 miles) of the Park, stopping to see waterfalls, more geysers, fumaroles, and paintpots. (Got a dictionary? ) We saw lots of bison (American Buffalo) and a wolf and a bull elk. Lots of cars stopped to watch the bison, who were often grazing very near the road. A couple of times a bison would step casually out onto the road to get to the other side. No one got in its way! It was quite fascinating to watch the animal appear to completely ignore cars and people as it meandered across the road. The smell of sulphur was pretty strong in the geyser basins where people could walk on boardwalks among the natural features. One feature, called The Dragon's Mouth, belched out sulphurous steam almost continuously. The wind kept moving the steam around and, as we stood there watching, it blew it right into our faces. Aagh! We left there gagging and hacking. On the way back after we'd seen everything we could and it was getting dark, a wolf loped across a field - pretty cool. And later we came close to hitting an elk cow after it was completely dark. The rest of the drive home was uneventful. Today we drove about 400 miles from Jackson, WY to Boise, ID. Not a bad drive and we saw some pretty waterfalls along the way. Tomorrow our destination is Mount Shasta, California.

It sure sounds like you're having a great time! All the things you've done sound wonderful. I am really interested in seeing more Native American stuff next time I go west. I am envious and I admit it. It's this time of year I really feel stranded when I can't go on a trip. Guess I'll have to live vicariously through yours! Please update again! The imagery you've given us really takes us along, not just the scenery but the feelings too. Stay safe and have fun!

I've been to Wales.
I'm not even close to kidding.
I've been to Wales.
Oh I did actually go to Tunisia and Turkey on holiday, actually. I forgot about that, lol. I didnt really see anything of Tunisia whilst I was there though - only the hotel and local shops really, so I dont really class that as travelling as such. I did see quite a few wonderful things in Turkey though (although not as much as I would have liked - I couldnt stand the heat! man i'm such a wuss)
EDIT: Incidently, I am planning with my friend to come over to America for a road trip in the year 2017. Now I know that sounds eons away, but I have to consider the children. I wouldnt leave them while they were tiny like they are now. I'm not bringing them either because this is something I have to do for me and me alone. I have never known an adult life without children. Ever. I dont know what it feels like. So 10 years should do it. They will be old enough to understand my reasons and be perfectly OK to be left with family, without me there.
I'm hoping to be over there for 5 weeks. I'll be travelling by motorbike too - all the way. I'm not kidding! I will be doing it all on a motorbike. I dont even know if I would get right across america in 5 weeks??? I doubt I could actually, lol - but i'll get as far as I can and meet as many of you as I can! (if any of us are still around here in 10 years that is, lol)
