Okay lemme think. I haven't been outside the U.S. except for a few days in Ontario, Canada (Niagara Falls).
But I suppose I've been to a good few places in the U.S. but not too many out west. (Though I'd love to go.)
Let's see what I can remember:
Florida- Orlando, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa. (By the end of the month: Ft. Lauderdale, too.) Virginia- Virginia Beach, Sandbridge St. Paul, Minnesota Erie, Pennsylvania Williamsburg, Pennsylvania Vermont Buffalo and Upstate NY Arizona- Phoenix, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon Florida Keys- all of them. (Best vacation EVER.) Sandusky, Ohio- (Cedar Point) Kelley's Island- Lake Erie Maumee, Ohio Newport, Kentucky Gatlinburg, Tennesee Outer Banks, North Carolina Charlotte, North Carolina Wash. D.C.
That's all I can think of at the present time. But by the end of the summer, I will have also been to NYC for the first time.

Feeney, I hope you get your cross country US trip, it's a great experience. I understand how you feel about not wanting to take the kids, but I hope you will take them too someday since they need to see it too. But I want you to have your fun so go for it! The good thing is since you had your kids young, they will be grown or old enough to leave home when you are still young enough to enjoy yourself! I'm 45 and my youngest just graduated high school. I have a cousin who is only a few months younger than me who just had her first baby! She's a lawyer, and snuck one in under her biological clock, finally! But I can't even imagine having to deal with a baby at this point in life, especially not a first child!
Thanks to my son's recent trip, he has now been to all the continental US states except Rhode Island and Oklahoma, he's six ahead of me. My brother has every state except Hawaii, and of course my husband has that one since he grew up there. I need to get back on the road. Maybe someday.

And here are the photos from my business trip to Korea (no the pics are not of business!) last July: s41.photobucket.com/albums/e270/pneumaticat/KoreaWe had enough spare time to do some sightseeing, including taking a trip to the DMZ. This included a trip to the "3rd Tunnel", which is an infiltration tunnel the North Koreans were digging under the DMZ that got discovered (the name implies there must be at least 2 more of them too ...). We weren't allowed to take photos inside it. The DMZ tour is an all-day trip the USO organizes. It's popular, so must usually be booked in advance.

More great pics crystalcat, thanks for posting! Such a variety of views. That must have been an interesting trip.
I'm glad they caught those tunnel-ers! My Dad was stationed at the DMZ in the early 60s when I was little, and he took a lot of slides of what it looked like then. Maybe someday I can get them online.

Enjoyed reading this. I haven't traveled much because my boys are young. I hope to get out more since they are growing up but right now a road trip would be a battle.
Before kids, I went to San Diego and Garden Grove, Ca., Las Vegas....just had to see it. Lake Tahoe was pretty. Minneapolis Mn and Eau Claire Wi. to visit friends. Okalahoma City for a wedding. Our family vacations are usually in San Antonio which is two hundred miles away. It takes more than a day to drive across Texas.
In the future, I want to take a trip out west with the whole family. I would love to experience Yellowstone with the boys.
Feeney, if you get this far south, would love to visit with you. I promise it is not as hot as Turkey.
