Anna Nicole and Britney

What do you all think of these two sad but wacky stories? So they just gave Anna Nicole's body to Howard Stern to bury in the Bahamas with her son, but who gets the baby? She listed him on the birth certificate, but Larry Birkhead says he's the real father and can prove it. Then you have four other guys, including Zsa Zsa's husband the 'prince' coming out of the woodwork to say they are the father! Of course everyone wants the money the little girl may inherit because of Anna Nicole's marriage to that 90 year old billionaire. Stern says she hated her family, the family says he manipulated her because she was on drugs, and that it's his fault her and the boy died of drugs. So who's the baby's Daddy, and where should she go? How about wrap her up in a blanket and take her to Aunt Beru? Maybe the poor kid would be better off anonymous.

Same for Britney's kids. You know how she's been having a meltdown, shaved her head bald, in and out of rehab? Then K-Fed filed to take the kids away and she went to his house and had a fit. When he wouldn't let her in, she busted out his car windows.

What's going to happen to all these people? Being broke always causes problems, but how can people with money be so messed up?

Wow, I can't believe none of you care about these stories. On the other boards I'm on, they're up to 500 posts per girl!

It would be nice if we could get off topic stuff like this going. If you don't like this story start something of your own, but please, let's get some threads going. It's sad how nobody ever wants to get talking around here. It could be so much fun if we did. Go for it!

Good question.

But my guess is that at the same time, it reveals the flaws people having the money were desperately trying to hide to the public, for when something unforseen occurs, the mask fall, and what we never suspected rise up to the surface.

I've never been a fan of Britney, but I started to get worried by her behavior, lately. Something's gone definitively wrong, I agree.

In France, we've a saying that goes like this:

"L'argent ne fait pas le bonheur."

The two cases you're referring to are standing examples of it. To get the money doesn't mean you will or are living a better way of life, at the contrary.

Like in America they say 'money can't buy happiness.' But you know, I'd like someone to try me! I think I'd be plenty happy if I didn't have to worry about my bills.

Some people say that Britney and AN were just troubled people from troubled families and they'd have been that way no matter how rich or poor. When you're rich it happens on a bigger scale and gets you on TV. I usually don't like celebrity gossip but these stories are interesting.

ok well me and my mom watch the court for ana nicole and i think the other guy birkheard is the father cause howard stern wont take a dna test to prove it and birkheard will and just watching the case you could tell howard is a liar

I think Anna's family problems probably helped her to create the personality we see. As you said before, the money just makes it possible for us to see all of this.

I think Britney is just another child star gone crazy. And now she's 24 or so and on her own and someone with whatever values she had before thrown out the window when the money came in the door. I think greedy parents are a good bit to blame for these child stars' problems.

Oh good! Thanks for commenting! I don't like the kind of gossip that's just who's cheating with who, who brought who to the red carpet, and who wore what dress and what designer was it by, yawn. But these stories, especially the Anna Nicole one, are real human interest stories, complicated and involved, something I want to see an answer to, and yet another in a case of 'the truth is stranger than fiction.' It amazes me how many times that line comes true. No matter what gets made up in books and movies, real life always tops it with something really over the top. And it's real and happening now, so it's interesting to follow and see how it turns out.

Sonotyourmom, I also think Larry Birkhead is the father (and he's HOT, isn't he?) He's been pushing for the DNA test ever since the baby was born, he didn't jump on the bandwagon after she died like those other weirdos did. I also agree I don't trust Howard K. Stern. I've got a bad feeling about him. Here's what I think, all assumption and guessing of course, but putting two and two together I woudn't be surprised if I turn out to be right.

I'll start with some background. She was a poor girl from Texas. Her father left the family and disappeared when she was a baby (only recently resurfaced after someone hunted him down) Her mother was a deputy sheriff (which makes me doubt the abuse stories, if an officer gets caught doing stuff like that she'd be in trouble, I'm sure she 'whipped' her but I wonder about severe abuse) who had several other children later. She got pregnant as a teenager working at Jimmy's Chicken Shack, and married Billy Smith, the teen father. The baby was her son Daniel. When she left her hometown, she had no contact with her ex husband and he never asked for money or to get the kid.

Let's move on to the old man, J. Howard Marshall. Remember the story of her marrying the really gross, decrepit old fellow who was 90 and she was 26? He was a billionaire, so obviously she gets labeled 'gold digger' for that. Or was it love?


So the old man passed over the very next year. She claimed he left her everything in his will, and at first she was awarded it, but after a fight with his children she lost everything. Later, she was awarded about half, but never got it yet. The family is still fighting her. This is the big money everyone seems to be after.

She didn't really 'fall out' with her mother until the 'old man' era. It got worse once she took up with Howard K. Stern, soon after. There are pictures of her happily posing with her mother and Daniel when he was very young.

Larry Birkhead is a photographer who met her on a photoshoot. They became lovers and lived together for a couple years. They were very much in love and wanted a baby, but she suffered a miscarriage after falling from a trampoline while drunk. Larry has said he could see she was hurting herself with drugs and tried to stop her, but of course she wouldn't listen and resented him trying to take them away from her. So the story goes, according to him, that after she got pregnant with Dannielynn by him, they broke up, mainly because of the drugs. Maybe he asked her to choose and she chose drugs? He said she and Stern were close but never 'intimate.'

So THIS is what I think. She broke up with Birkhead knowing she was carrying his child, but now wanted nothing to do with him. Stern, being a lawyer, came up with the plan to move to the Bahamas and make sure the baby was born there, since there, whoever you put on the birth certificate is the legal father regardless of if he's the biological father or not. They had to have planned this knowing Birkhead would seek a DNA test and maybe custody. The house in the Bahamas is NOT hers. It was loaned to her by a wealthy businessman, father in law of Ford Shelley, the guy who took the stuff out of the house after she died and who has had the locks changed 3 times to try to keep Stern out.

Of course, she did have the baby there, and three days later her beloved son Daniel died in her hospital room of a mixture of drugs, including Methadone, which is what Birkhead said Anna was on, and what was found in her fridge after she died. Stern was said to have flushed drugs down the toilet when Daniel died. There are rumors that Stern killed Daniel, and that Anna Nicole was heard to yell out 'you did this it's all your fault!' to Stern. An inquisition is forthcoming.

I really can't say if Stern really loved her or her son, or the baby, maybe he does. But that still doesn't shake my suspicions that he's after the money. He is the executor of her will, and that alone with get you about a third of the estate (my mother in law got that for her neighbor's estate) It would be a sinister plot, but I guess it is possible he thought if he could get rid of Daniel, then maybe even her, and claim fatherhood of the baby he could walk away with her money as well as the old man's fortune.

What makes me even more suspicious is that Anna Nicole's family- not only the estranged 'evil' mother but her sisters, brother, a cousin and an aunt- have all complained that he controlled her and wouldn't let her speak to them. He would take the phone and make excuses why she couldn't talk, then change the number. Ford Shelley said his daughter stayed with AN and HKS the night of the 'clown makeup' party, and that Stern wouldn't let her call or come to the phone to be brought home! (this, of course, reminds me of something that happened in my family, which makes me biased against him) But there could be something to it all. She was certainly not in her right mind, always messed up and on drugs, and he could easily take advantage of that. Unlike the family and Birkhead, he made no attempts to get her off drugs, he only helped her get them and helped her hide them. Was this because he was a hopeless codependant in love, or a rotten manipulative schemer after the money? Maybe time will tell. It's going to be interesting to see how it all comes out.

Well, I have to say that I agree with pretty much everything you said, Annie. I think Stern is a control freak and controlled Anna Nicole's access to anyone who had a chance of helping her. I don't know if he killed Daniel, but I have to say I won't be surprised if it turns out that way. I don't think he killed Anna Nicole; I think he would have wanted to actually marry her first.

Yes, you are right, he sure would have married her first if he wanted to guarantee the money. But I do think it's weird he, by some eyewitness accounts, left her with a temperature of 105 and sleeping deeply to go out on the boat. I also doubt she killed herself on purpose, with no recent will and so much unsettled. I do think she may have just given up. Some close to her say she died of 'a broken heart' and had been slowly dying inside since Daniel died. She had also been haunted by him (according to a TV interview 8 days before she died) coming back to her in nightmares telling her he was trapped in Purgatory and scared, and calling for her to come help him. Maybe in her sleep, with a fever and on drugs, she thought she was with him and just let go. We'll never really know I guess.

I heard some interesting stuff this morning on the radio. Howard Stern's lawyer stole Larry Birkhead's styrofoam cup at the body hearing and they must have tested it for DNA because now Howard is willing to negotiate with Larry over custody. Looks like Howard doesn't care if Larry raises the baby as long as he still gets to keep the money!

When Britney was searched for drugs at the rehab place they found a hit list on her of people she wanted to kill and K-Fed was on there! If she were a kid in school she'd be in jail right now.

Riot is a female, and she's a smooth coat collie. Her fur won't get any longer. All of the Lassies were rough coat collies. Interestingly, the smooth coat collie was the original collie, and the rough coats were developed from them.
