Just a small story, about our fave couple(s) spending Valentine's Day Together

Natalie/Hayden (the Sam in this is Samuel L Jackson)
"Sam..." Hayden sighs wearily, rubbing his eyes "What time is it?"
Sam chuckles
"7am...."
"What?" Hayden splutters
Sam laughs harder
"'Mon Man..."
"Go to hell" Hayden laughs, shaking his head, diving back under the duvet
"No way Jedi boy..."
"Shut it, you know I hate that...." Hayden huffs "What the hell do you want anyway..."
"Well that won't do on today of all days..."
Hayden throws the duvet back
"Huh?"
"It's Valentines baby..."
Hayden blinks in bewilderment
"And...?"
Sam peers down at him
"And as I recall, there is a little lady in town promoting a movie..."
Hayden’s brow wrinkles
"Eh, you know..."
"Would be nice to meet up again..."
"Sam, what in the blue hell are you talking about?"
"Natalie..."
Hayden slides his legs round, slumping on the edge of the bed
"Sam..." he breathes
"Just thought it would be nice for old friends to meet..."
"On Valentines?" Hayden breathes with a blush
Sam nods
"Exactly..."

Alice/Stevie
“Stevie baby…” Alice yawns, giggling as she sees his bright blue eyes sparkle into hers
“What are you up too?” she laughs
“Morning” he breathes
She stretches
“Morning” she laughs, eyes widening as she sees the tray, trembling in his hands
“Stevie…”
He dips his head
“Happy Valentine’s baby…” he breathes
“Oh Stevie…”
“I made you your favourite” he whispers
She gasps as she sees the toasted cheese
“Aw…”
“H-Here…” he stutters, laying down the tray, biting his lip
“Aw Stevie,” she breathes, as he pours her a glass of champagne
Her eyes widen
“Champagne!” she rasps
“Of course….” He breathes “For you…”
She laughs softly as he presses the glass into her hand
“You know Stevie, I could get too used to this” she admonishes with a chuckle
“I wouldn’t care if you did” he breathes,
“C’mere” he beams as she wraps her arms around him whispering softly
He nuzzles her cheek
“I love you so much Alice…”

Novalee/Sam
“Novi!”
Novalee raises her head, smiling weakly as she sees George rushing towards her
“Beautiful morning…”
She dips her head blushing
“When did you start calling me that”
George blushes,
“Well Sam…”
She lowers her head
“It’s only Sam that calls me that…”
“Ah!” he nods his head “I see…”
“Yeah” she breathes, biting her lip
“How is he today…?”
“I don’t know, I was wondering if you knew where he was…”
Novalee’s eyes widen
“He’s not in the house…”
George sighs,
“Fraid not…”
Novalee bites her lip
“I better look for him then…”

“Are you crazy….?”
Sam laughs as he sees Hayden’s wide eyed gaze
“And shave!”
Hayden just sighs
“But….”
“Wouldn’t hurt to wear a suit…”
“Suit?” Hayden squeaks “OK, now you’ve gone too far…”
“Natalie’s….” Sam just trails off, looking at Hayden’s ratty boots
Hayden shakes his head
“It’s not a date…”
Sam just smiles,
“What you so nervous for then?”
Hayden looks at him in bewilderment
“I…not…”
”Sure…” Sam laughs, clapping his back

Alice, blinks as she sees the heart shaped candy
“Oh”
Stephen dips his head
“Corny right” he sighs, shaking his head
She shakes her head
“No” she whispers
“Really?” she smiles as she sees his beaming delight
She swallows, stroking the velvet box
“really, Really” she whispers
He cups her cheek,
“Alice?” he breathes as she blinks back tears “Baby?” he whispers, she shakes her head
“Oh Stevie…”
“Is it alright”
She nods
“Just hold me…”

“Sam!, Sam!”
Sam grins as he sees Novalee bounding towards him
“Sam, what are you doing down here” she breathes “Your Dad is frantic….” She rasps “He says he hasn’t seen you in…”
She trails off, frowning in bewilderment, as he just smiles at her softly
“What?” she whispers as she sees his soft smile
“I had to do something…”
“Oh” she whispers, shivering in the cool morning air
“Here”
She blinks as he eases off his fleece top, handing it to her
“What about you?”
He smiles, sliding an arm round her waist for a moment,
“I have you to keep me warm…”

“Very suave” Sam nods his head,
Hayden sighs as he brushes lint from the front of the jacket
“Hope she didn’t see pics from the premiere, it’s the same jacket….”
Sam laughs
“Like she would mind, but why do you care, I mean, it’s not a date, just….a friendly meeting between two friends, yeah?”
Hayden doesn’t answer, lowering his eyes
“Why did you do this Sam?”
Sam licks his lips
“Sometimes we have to listen to our head, but the heart tells the head to stay at home and minds it’s own business…”
Hayden snorts
“Make sense” he teases
Sam shakes his head
“Just answer one question…”
“And what is that?”
Hayden sighs as Sam produces a bunch of roses
“With or Without the roses…”
Hayden swallows, snatching them
“With of course…” he breathes “Ow!” he scowls as a thorn pricks him “Stupid things…hate em…”
“She won’t” Hayden smiles
“Sam….”
Sam nods
“What a friends for?”

“That was delicious Stevie baby” Alice purrs as he takes the plate from her with a smile
“Glad to have met with your satisfaction madam…”
“Oh you do that…” she breathes
He blushes deeply, making her laugh
“Now how bout you come here for your present”
He shakes his head
“Hang on!” he breathes “Not done yet….”
Alice slides from the bed
“Stevie…” she breathes as he looks at her, a curious expression on his face “What are you hiding?” she murmurs
“There is one more thing…”
She shakes her head
“Stevie”
“Please”
“It’s too much” she croaks
“Ssh” he soothes as he sees her tears
“Alice…”
“No-one has ever done this for me, ever…” she breathes in awe
“Well…” he laughs “No one has loved you as much….”
He rolls his eyes
“Sorry, corny again right…?”
She shakes her head
“No” she whispers, moaning as she sees the roses he produces
“For you…”
“Oh Stevie…” she murmurs, peering at the card

“You know I will be…”

“Where are you taking me?” Novalee breathes
Sam shakes his head
“Surprise…”
“Just tell me Sam…”
“Almost there…” he assures her, kissing her cheek “You OK?”
“Frozen” she shivers, burrowing deeper into his fleece
“You look so cute…” he laughs as the arms dangle over her dainty hands, the top draping over her thighs, hood almost covering her eyes, she brushes it back
“Sam”
“Close your eyes” he pleads
“K” she whispers
“No peeking!”
She laughs
“hurry up Sam” she admonishes with a chuckle
“K wait….”
He stands behind her, she giggles as he eases the hood down, pressing cold hands to her eyes
“ooh” she giggles
“Wait…”
“Sam…”
He leans down and kisses her cheek
“K now”
She opens her eyes, gaping as she sees the heart in the sand
“Oh Sam” she chokes as she stares down at their initials
He dips his head as she turns incredulous eyes to him
“Sam?”
“Stupid right, I just thought…ya know, being Valentines….just to show ya, ya know” his head, dipping lower and lower
“Man, stupid” he croaks as he begins to cry
“Oh Sam, it’s the best thing anyone has ever done for me”
His head whips back up
“Novi?”
“Sam, it’s so beautiful”
He shakes his head
“Not as beautiful as you Novi” he assures her as she flings herself into his arms
“I love you Sam…” she murmurs,
He smiles, cupping her chin, brushing away a tear
“Happy Valentine’s Novi…”

Natalie stares at the card; butterflies swarming in her stomach, tensing as she hears the door, this was it
Hayden curses as he quickly raps the door
“Coming”
He shivers as he hears her husky voice, part of him, wanting to turn tail and run
“Hayden!”
He can only smile weakly as the door is opened, and the gasp of his name is heard
“For you…” he mutters, shoving the roses at her
“Y-You?”
He licks his lips
“C-Can I come in…”
She nods faintly, side stepping to let him in, sniffing the roses
“They’re beautiful”
“Glad you like them…”
They just stare at each other for a moment
“So how are you…”
“Long time no…”
They both laugh nervously
“I wasn’t expecting…” she shakes her head, stroking his lapel “Looking good…”
“Thanks…” he whispers “Not as good as you…”
“I’ll put these in water”
Hayden smiles as he sees the card
“So that’s how he did it”
“What?”
“Nothing”
She jumps as he slides up beside her, grasping her waist
“Hayden…”
“So…” he breathes, breath fanning her neck, they both shiver as they catch eyes, and the flame that had never been extinguished flares back to life
“Natalie…” he breathes
She bites her lip
“This is crazy…”
“I know…” he laughs “So what do you say?” he breathes as he picks up the card
“Be My Valentine?” he murmurs, leaning in for a kiss
“Yes” she whispers as their lips meet
