She really is remembering now; I wouldn't be surprised if you had her remember everything the first night she's out at the lake. But maybe not. And now Leia has finally gotten over her anger at Bail. I wonder what she's going to find out when she talks to him?
Great use of the analogous story in the dream about Anakin. I liked how you likened the dark side to walking into quicksand.

At least Padme is thinking that her dream might be symbolic of something terrible that actually happened. I like how you're doling her enlightenment out very slowly.
And Leia has at least spoken to Bail and learned that he didn't know Padme was in such trouble and why he didn't know (even if she wants to apply her hindsight to say it's "obvious" he should have tried to find out).

Good to have Padme slowly returning! I can see how it's torture for him to be with her, yet not be, and not be able to touch her like he wants. Now SHE is having dreams, I hope this isn't bad!
Poor Bail. He did nothing wrong, except not tell her the whole truth. I hope they can be close again even though he'll never be father or even Daddy.
If Anakin is not quite Sith not quite Jedi what is he? Just a guy who uses the force? Is that okay to stay that way or will he have to choose?

It's taking me awhile to get caught up on this, but I like where it's headed now. I feel so much better about Padme than I did. Good work.

She is really remembering now - I like how you switched to first person for her dream-memory; it makes it stand out more as something new and different. It'll be interesting to see her reaction to the meadow by the waterfall that was the setting for that dream and the one she had before.

So I guess Ozzel is about to bite the dust in this version as well - he was pompous and incompetent, though. Which means that Piett is about to get his promotion. I can almost "see" Luke & Leia leaving the base to go see their mom at the wrong moment...
And so Padme thinks the past doesn't matter. I agree with Anakin, though - will she still think so when she has total recall?

She's doing well remembering, and it's so good to see them close again and having feelings for each other! But how will she handle those lost 20 years? I can see he's very afraid of that, even though she has accepted the man that he is, and loved the man that he was. They still have a lot to go through, but I like it!
Oh and so nice to see his hair is back, and he can run his hands through it!

And while they're at it, they could have Darth Ferret bring them some flight line? Maybe a jar of elbow grease? Can't wait for him to tell Palpatine about it!!!!!!!!!! (assuming old Sidious even gets it himself).

She's not worried about forcing the memory - although she could ask him. Maybe it's better that she doesn't, though. But she should be just about ready to remember the bad stuff (though she may not have heard of the exploits of Darth Vader-in-the-suit).
I am wondering when Leia will decide to go ahead and visit anyway, if she does ... or if the planet gets invaded, even without Vader's help, and she and Han (and Obi-Wan) have to blast out of there.

Still so much to work through. I hope their love has the strength for it.

Anakin's finally going to have to come clean about what happened - even if he can put it off one night, she won't let him put it off more than that, I'm sure. That is, unless you plan to have her memories return that same night (which you may). Either way, I'm looking forward to what you have in store as her reaction - and his.

Well, she made it next to impossible for him to completely hold out. Now I suppose she's going to reject him when he tells her what he's been doing for the past 20 years. But at least we're finally going to see what he says to her and what her reaction is going to be.
And Leia is about to be set upon by the Empire; I'm sure the juxtaposition of events is deliberate on your part; and I'm very interested to see what part Leia plays in the eventual (because I don't think you'll leave them apart, no matter what you might do to them in the middle of the story) reconciliation of her parents (assuming they need to be reconciled).
Also -- I should have waited to read this at breakfast, but I couldn't stop myself.

After all that having to find out he was Vader! There were so many painful memories to suffer through but I was hoping she'd understand he wasn't really the same guy during that time. Knowing just how bad he'd been has to be hard to take, even in her amnesia she must have known of the atrocities of DV. Now to find out it was your own Anakin? And she walked out, poor guy. Come on, have some pity, he's had a hard life too! He's sorry!

I sort of expected her to take it really badly, the way you were leading up to it. But I guess she gets to be really angry and irrational, even, considering how angry and irrationall he was on Mustafar. But the bomb's been dropped, his confession brought her entire memory back - almost. I'm wondering how long it's going to take her to remember that she told Obi-Wan there was still good in him. Although I don't think he'll be around when she does - he'll probably already have gone off somewhere. Unless someone wants to know who the rebels were talking to on Naboo ... which I suppose they might.
It also hasn't escaped my notice that with Piett already in charge, they won't blow the sneak attack on Hoth. Unless Darth Ferret intervenes ...
I'm really wondering how you're going to orchestrate all this!
And, of course, I was unable to wait until tomorrow morning to read this -- AGAIN!!!
