I'm guessing the pain he felt must have been something terrible happening to Padme? Something must have happened or Organa wouldn't be asking him to come there - I wonder what it is. Guess I'll find out in the next (few?) chapter(s)...

Ah, PadmeSkywalker was right - it was Luke, not Padme. But I'm wondering what the significance is of his pain, as Luke seems to have contracted his disease some time before Anakin felt it. I'm sure it will be made clear - the title hints at that.
Of course, right now he's thinking what a great Sith Luke would make - that will surely change now that he has his family back. I'm wondering if anything will happen to Organa - and I can't wait for him to meet 13 year old Leia!

Why do I think Vader is about to find out that Palpatine has deliberately been keeping him in the suit when it isn't necessary?
Anxious to see his meeting with the kids and what will happen once the kidney is donated ...

You seem to know a lot about illnesses - are you a doctor or nurse (or were you in another life, i.e. before writing?) I suppose the heart condition is what the doctor at the beginning was trying to tell him, although he'd never have been permitted to suggest the wounds themselves could be repaired. Will Vader have trouble believing it's true, as Obi-Wan thinks he will?

I love how padme put vader in his place. now he's thinking i hope in the right direction and this will start the path of light. but will pad and ani resolve?
and vader kept his promise to leia. good job!

So he was still convinced she'd betrayed him - I hope he learned something from finally listening to her explanation!
And of course, now he knows he doesn't have to stay in the suit - if, that is, his heart can now take him out of it. Since that's essentially the title of the story, I'm wondering how it fits in.

I'm wondering if Padme ought to have let Leia stay with him, although I see her point - especially since he was thinking in terms of how he could turn them both dark (though not over to Palpatine, I'm sure). Interesting to see what happens when he wakes up ...

Oh, I love Leia! What a spitfire! Just like Anakin! She's gonna make sure he's taken care of just fine!
I hope the conversation that Padme is going to have with him will open both their eyes! They both love but at the same time don't trust each other right now. understandably.
And his personal dr has a thing for him. humm, well, we all know that she doesn't stand a chance!
I love how she reacted to find out he has kids. too funny!
Can't wait for more!

I guess he must have been having a heart attack at the beginning of the story too, and it wasn't a premonition of anything happening to anyone - so much for my predictions, hmmm?  That was funny with the doctor reacting to the news that he had a family. I'm wondering how she is going to get out of withholding the info that he could be cured from him? That would have made the pills unnecessary in the first place ... And the big question is - will she report back to the Emperor? |

Oh, my, this is going to be a hard sell, to get him to not report to the emperor. Are they just going to go quietly to the Star Destroyer? Or will Obi-Wan help them run away (I'm sure he's got a plan ready for this eventuality?) I have absolutely NO idea where you are going to go from here (that's a good thing!)

Well, there is a glimmer of hope, at least, in that he does care whether the kids hate him or not. I'm wondering how he is going to hide their presence from Sidious, though. If Sidious is going to find out they exist anyway, they'd have been better off in a location where he didn't know where they were...
And I wonder how he is going to teach them to be dark when he cares about them?

ooooo and he instits that they are going to the ship with him. oooo boy! how's this going to work out? hopefully he will keep it quiet from the emperor. but how long will that last?
i'm glad too that he cares about what the kids think too. maybe there's hope?
