You can't adapt a whole book into a movie, Saphira. Some characters and parts are always taken out, let it be for LOTR or Harry Potter. I recall to have read somewhere that actually the author wrote first Eragon as a movie, although movies' screenplays are differing a lot from writing a novel.
Actually, I'm a kind of hesitating still, after seeing the trailer when I went to see Arthur & The Minimoys on Monday. In a way, I got reminded of LOTR by it, but into the other, my love for Dragons is pulling my heart's strings...
What I mean is, I might love the movie's adaptation, but I might never go into reading the books after that...It's all in the visualization!
Kisses,
Sam.

I definitely want to see it, because I love dragon movies. Years ago I saw Dragonheart, where Sean Connery *sigh* voiced the dragon. Very good movie.
I may not be leaving tomorrow for Missouri, since the mountains of Colorado, and the eastern plains, are getting hit with heavy snow. In that case, I'll spend Christmas with my friends here and visit my Missouri friends early next year.
Saphira, you get two weeks off! Yippee!!!

Did you well say Dragonheart? I saw it, too, and loved it for the very same reasons! I even have the soundtrack! For me, Sean Connery will be forever Draco, the Voice of The Dragons. You've read my mind, it seems... Kisses, Sam.

She stayed home and didn't go, like she said she probably would do in the post above. OTOH, my ex-sister and brother-in-law are probably still stuck in Colorado - they were supposed to drive home from a ski resort there on Thursday. Somehow I doubt they did.

Thank you for your concern, Annie! Everyone here is so friendly, it's a great place to come and relax, isn't it?
Yep, the snow was just too much, so I stayed home. I apologize for not coming on earlier to tell my friends. I was shoveling and driving around taking pictures.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our members! (And to our guests, too!)
p.s. I love you kitty playing with the ornament, Annie!

Hi everyone! Haven't posted here in awhile! I hope everyone had a great holiday! I also fifth the complement about your cat pic Annie! Very cute! You have to tell us if you like it after you see it, and I have to see the movie Dragonheart. I've never seen it before! I want to now though! Sorry you couldn't go to Missouri, but I'm glad you had a fun time with your friends! And thanks, I've been enjoying my time off! Of course, I completely agree! I only see it as being 'based' and 'inspired' by the book! So even if their are not characters in it or parts gone, it's still good. It's impossible to include everything in a movie, and I enjoy the changes they make to. I'm not sure if the Auther did that, I've heard he was working on it as a novel and never intended to have it published. I'm not sure if he started it as a screen play or not. It is somewhat like it, but the movies and books are different then LOTR. It's good, I like at least. We all can't! Hope you like the new site look to everyone! And I'll be reading some more this week to^^

A quick, very quick hello to everyone, and Happy New Year to you all. For unfortunately, on the last two days of my holidays at Hong-Kong, I caught a cold, and I'm still dealing with it at the time.
Greetings to all new members, and talk to you back later!
Kisses,
Sam.
