This is great! But so sad. They are both having so many painful thoughts of the past. I wonder if knowing she was alive would change him now. Looks like she and Obi-Wan believe Anakin 'died' when he turned, and Padme doesn't blame him for Anakin's 'death.' I thought she might, but after all he did save the lives of her and the babies. Obi-Wan and Padme are still close, how close? Is he the protector? Is he only a Jedi friend or more?  I know, I'm getting way ahead, but I am so looking forward to where you take this story! |

This is different from your other two - starting while Luke & Leia are still children. I actually wondered if you were going to do a piece where you started near the beginning of ANH, since you did one from the other two films of the OT. I'm going to enjoy this one, though, including what Padme has to say to Obiwan when she finds out Anakin is still alive ...

I have the horrible sinking feeling that Obi-Wan is about to do somthing monumentally stupid. If he would only get it through his head that the Jedi Council weren't gods and that every word they spoke was not gospel. But he won't, not without a lot of pain first, anyway.
I'm wondering what game Palpatine was going to play on Vader, however ...

Oh, I really love this story. You've done an excellent job of characterizing Luke and Leia as children! And I'm intrigued by what is going to happen with all of the players now that Padme has taken the children to Vader. Will Obi-Wan think he'll need to fight Vader again? And how will Vader protect them all from Palpatine, who already knows they exist? I can't wait for more!

He doesnt know the twins exist- Bail and Obi-Wan planted erroneous information at Polis Massa about them dying. He does know about Padme though.

I really loved the scene of Anakin holding Luke; I would imagine it will be fairly hard to keep himself on the dark side with them around (although anger at what was done and what Palpatine wants to do might make it slower going back to the light than what it might be otherwise). I'm looking forward to reading this so much I was thinking about what you were going to do next last night when I went to bed. ;D |

Padme was right, there STILL good in him.... the way he was drawn to his children...... oh him holding Luke! its all wonderful..... Padme never lost faith.... and Anakin now knows how he was used and tricked, can't wait for more.... well done!

Question (rhetorical question - please don't answer it): Does Spotty have a role to play in saving the galaxy? If so, will he help things along or hold things up?

I'm caught up now, oh this is good! They know about each other now, and trust each other but Obi-Wan still thinks he's Vader and thinks she's in danger. I thought Vader would start to melt away inside that suit once he saw her. What a great moment when he saw her and met the kids! I love how you told it all! Now they're going to Bail, he'll help Padme, but what about Vader? I hope there won't be trouble!
I am also glad the Organas have another child!

Oh, good! I was hoping Spotty would come to the rescue where Organa was concerned. My only concern now is that someone (maybe lots of someones) is bound to remark on the unusual occurance of Darth Vader buying a teddy bear. I sure hope this doesn't give away the twins' existence to Palpatine!

You have surpassed what you did before - this has rapidly become my favorite story of yours (not to say I'm not still enthralled with the others!). I cheered with Vader when he managed to keep the knowledge that Padme & the twins were with him from Sidious - AND that he wasn't suitably Dark! So I guess he can 'oh, by the way, the Emperor hates your guts' to Bail now and say truthfully that he's been told... But I have to be VERY curious about the Jedi he's not going to kill...
